Ithaca, NY Wedding – Gratitude & Grace

We had the honor of doing day of coordination for Molly and Jeff’s wedding day. One of the best reasons you can hire a wedding planner or a day of coordinator for your wedding is THE WEATHER. That unpredictable Mother Nature will swoop in and do her thing whether you are prepared or not. You can see in the portrait below off to the right there are dark clouds. Rain threatened for most of the day and we waited until a few hours before the ceremony to make the call as to whether or not the ceremony would be outside in the garden or inside the barn. When the call was made to play it safe, we went to work hauling chairs and getting the ceremony space ready.

Making that call and having your ceremony inside when you’ve always dreamed of an outdoors wedding can be stressful enough. You shouldn’t have to worry about making sure plan B is taken care of and in a way that still matches the aesthetic of your wedding day. Wedding coordinators are ready with plan a, b and c. It’s so worth it to have someone making sure your wedding day runs smoothly the day of.

Gratitude and Grace in Ithaca, NY has a ton of spaces for your guests to relax in. There’s the main house where the bride and groom can get ready as well as the wedding party, family and friends. There’s a sleeper shed (we learned this was a thing) nearby where a guest or two can stay. There are multiple gardens with seating, a beautiful barn for both a ceremony and reception and fields for days if you want to take a stroll. There’s also space behind the barn where a tent can go if you have a larger wedding and want to spread out or have an alternative place for dinner.

The biggest perk to this place are the sunsets. You can’t always get an epic sunset on your wedding day or be in a location where that’s even possible. Gratitude & Grace has the most GORGEOUS sunsets. If those dreamy backlit sunset photos are important to you, definitely consider having your wedding here!
